Escape from the city into the pleasures of the countryside! Join us on a full day excursion from Pune to the Akluj wine region. Akluj is approximately 175 km southeast of Pune, on the highway to Solapur. As you drive along this route, you will see the villages and landscape of the Deccan Plateau.

The tour is led by a knowledgeable wine consultant who will accompany you from Pune. She will introduce you to the entire lifecycle from planting to wine-making. You will also learn about pairing wines with Indian and other cuisines. In addition, you will also learn about the climate and geography of the land, the crop patterns, etc.

Plan for the day:
Depart Pune at 7:30 a.m. after breakfast
Drive 4hrs to Akluj
Visit two Vineyards and the Winery (with wine tasting and lunch)
Return to Pune by 6:30 p.m.

Cost:
Rs 4750 per person for 10-15 adults
Rs 4250 per person for 16-22 adults
Prior reservation via email is mandatory. Payment is to be made before the tour. Cancellation with less than 48 hours notice will be charged 50% retention. This tour is not designed for individuals wishing to join larger groups. Please contact us if you are a private group of 10 adults or more.

Excludes: Any wines consumed at lunch 

When to visit: It is very hot in summer and so we do not recommend doing this tour in April, May or June. From July onwards, you can visit. Harvest season is mid-Jan to March. The tour can be done on any day of the week.
